Dana Dunbar, the owner of Lorrien Homes, is a rock star! He runs his business like a business, i.e. punctual, professional, high performance standards, open to feedback and completely focused on quality. Prior to working with Dana, we had undertaken a lot of construction (2 kitchen projects in different houses, 3 bathrooms and general rebuilds). Those experiences were marked with price over-runs, frustration that workers didn't show up and punch list items that didn't get completed.

Working with Dana is the antithesis to these negative experiences. He is meticulous, open-minded, big-smiled and always ready to hear any kind of feedback. He is the first to show up at the work site, lays the ground protectors himself, tells you the plan for the day, greets the workers that are scheduled to work that day, and goes through the daily plan with them. At the end of the day, he packs up everything, mops the work site down, calls you to tell you what was accomplished that day, any hiccups that were encountered and just touches base. Dana won't start a project until every last, painstaking detail has been decided/considered/planned. Only after all items have been ordered and received does he start. The advantage to this approach is the most limited and minimal intrusion into the personal life of people who are living through the project. We no longer work with anyone but Dana. I don't even get things bid out anymore because no matter what price someone else offered, I can't go back to any other builder."
